Will an xr80 wheel work on a xr100.

More specifically I am wondering if a 1994 xr80 rear wheel will work on a 2000 xr100. Let me know.

Thanks

Go to Service Honda and check the part numbers for each. Compare.

I would guess the spacers might be different at least.

I'll assume that the 80 has a 14 inch wheel and the 100 has a 16 in. But they call for the same bearings, spacers and such so they should swap out. But will change the gear ratio/top speed.

It should, but they are different size wheels...ie 14 vs 16

My guess will be that the wheel would fit the 100 axle but i know for sure that the 80 uses a #420 chain & the 100 uses a #428. My point is that you will need to make sure that the rear sprockets will interchange between the 2 different wheels.

yes they do.

Ok, I bought it. It should be better with more low end power anyway.

Thanks

No more power, just a smaller wheel. You will need to put your sprocket from the 100 on there or change the chain and front sprocket.

A smaller wheel will definitely add low end power, but it will take away top speed. Its the same as getting a bigger rear sprocket.

Thanks
