To grind or not to grind... new 07' head

Recommended Posts

bean reading a bit here and some people say you should even grind the seats on a new head. If I don't, will it be just as reliable as a new showroom bike? I am trying to save money and don't want to grind the seats if I don't have too. Is it a gamble or just 1 in 100 chance the will go bad fast. I currently have an 05 setup with at least 120 hours and no problems.

Thanks,

Rob

Chances are they will be okay. I did have to touch mine up a bit to move the seating area up, because it was wide on the face of the valve.

Just check it like the manual states.
