Overview

This information is a general overview of Husqvarna dirt bikes and as a reference for those who own Husqvarna dirt bikes. It is a technical forum that assumes a certain level of knowledge.

This information is intended to be accurate and up to date but may not be. Other sections of Thumper Talk contain excellent information that may apply to Husqvarna products as well i.e. jetting and carburetor set up.

The order the information is presented is based on several factors including the quality of picture available.

By it's very nature this information will never be complete - if it was then it would be far to long & difficult to maintain. Some information has been omitted intentionally for a variety of reasons.

Rules

The Husqvarna section of Thumper Talk has the same rules as the rest of Thumper Talk.

Thumper Talk rules

This is the most common issue in forums:

No posting for sale, free, wanted or trade ads in the forums, please use the classified section instead.

  • Put it in the classifieds and/or put it in your sig. Maybe someone will notice and make a post about what you have in the classifieds.
  • The Home Page in your profile can link to almost anything.
In addition to Thumper Talk rules these will be considered trolling and/or personal attacks:
    • Posting personal information about others in a negative way.
    • Badgering people for information they do not want to give.

As far as I am concerned the Husqvarna section of TT is doing just fine, but anticipate a rapid growth in this section of TT and need to be prepared for it.

Carburetor

Awesome post on the AP and how it works by Clark Mason (insert all relevant posts from the carb & AP threads)

Misc carb parts & jets

Standard jets can be obtained for FCR-MX carbs from many places and other brands of bike dealers, in addition the Thumper Talk store carries many of them.

Odd leak jets are available at the OEM TT store, also:

The 2005 250x seems to use a 55 & 65 leak.
