how fast can a yz85 go?

all i want to no is if anyone has clocked their yz 85 and if they have how fast:ride: does it go?

Not another one...

97 MPH, with the orange or blue powerband.

I hear you can go 99mph with a hot cam stage one and a red powerband

Damn, on stock muffler bearings? That's unheard of!

with a light rider they can probably hit 65mph. ive heard of people getting them up to 75 but i think they are bsing... also depends on your gearing

Well their is a rumor it had nitrous

Does george know we are flaming here??

Does it make you all feel better making fun of him or something???

Does it make you feel better asking that

what is the point? it is a valid question he asked. why did you just not answer the question instead of busting his balls? did you know the answer? if not, do not reply. this site is for learning. how can someone learn without asking questions?

Hopefully he is learning - learning that you get flamed for asking countless dumb questions. Check his other posts.

MX is about handling, suspension and acceleration, not top speed. Any racer knows that.

i did check his other posts, nothing wrong with them. he never said anything about riding MX. his question was: how fast can it go. thats all. what is a dumb question to you may not be dumb to another. what gives you the right to judge which is dumb and which isn't?

apparently youve never seen the desert races like the baja 1000, its all about top speed:bonk:

Does the 1000 have an 85 class?

Thats a tuff question to answer There are to many variables ? Rider weight? altitude ? temp ? humidity? gearing ? stock bike ? the list goes on and on . This much i do know they will go plenty fast to get you hurt if you do not know how slow them down fast enough

i dont think its a dumb question....maybe he likes to drag race!?!?!

Easy. Use the search button.

These are a couple threads talking about the top speeds of some 85's... And if you look up "Top Speed", 10 pages of results shows up. The topic of top speed has been talked about over and over, why ask when all you have to do is search to find an answer?
