Fork Oil and Dampening Adjustment Q's

I had the fork seals go out on me a few weekends back and replaced the seals on a Sunday, since I couldn't get the specified oil I had to use Bel Ray 10 weight, so the question is this: for riding on washboard roads where is a good setting to start from? The factory setting is 8 clicks out, should I open them out a few more turns to compensate for the heavier oil?? Thanks!
