Racing fuel

Recommended Posts

I have the 07 250R and would like to know if anyone is running racing fuel? I can get some 110 octane but it is leaded. I don't think it will hurt the engine and I hope it will keep the engine cleaner but the exhaust may have extra deposites. Anyone have any thoughts?

unless you are running a high compression piston you will see no power gain, might even loose power

a good quality oxygenated race gas such as VP U4 or U2, will give you approx a 1.5-2 HP gain.

theres still no reason to go up to 110, i could see maybe 99 octane

I ran sunoco 110 in my crf250 for a little bit (i actually got it for my mod 50 to see if it would run any better on that). It really made no difference in the way the 250f ran. Now if/when i get a high compression piston i will probably start using it again. The only reason i would run the cam 2, instead of a VP fuel is becuase i can get it at the pump up the road a little ways.
