What did you do to your WR today?

Bolted a plate on it!  Finally it all came together.  VIN and equipment inspection was last week.  Cop came to the house for that but unfortunately he left off the last digit of the VIN on one of the docs.  Lady at the tag and title desk wouldn't let that go so had to call the cop back and get a new copy with correction, another few days delay.  09 WR450F now street legal.

Ordered a magura clutch yesterday for the WR. I think this may be the last wish list item for this bike. Waiting on a warm day without a foot of snow so I can wash it and do some spring maintance on it. Nothing major, repack the muffler and check over bolts mostly.

Rode the crap out of it last year and zero complaints and only one thing that could be callled a mech all year (voltage reg died and took the battery out with it) just had to kickstart it for a weekend or two. New regulator and new earth X battery (their sweet BTW) took care of that.

Bike is looking a little "well loved" now, I'll post a picture of her all cleaned up and sporting a juice clutch soon!

Rode the crap out of it over the 3 day weekend.

Got a rear flat 10 miles from camp on the last day.........

nothing like climbing some steep trails on a rear flat but it was still a fun ride.

Stonyford CA.

Nice. Something really cool about dirtbikes and campfires.

I removed the dual sport kit consisting of ... mirror, plate bracket, keyed ignition, horn, flush mount led turn signals, handlebar controller, flasher, and a bulky wiring harness.

Anyone need a plug in street legal kit?

I'll trade for a new or like new oem headlight housing, rear fender, and 2 banjo bolts for a 2008 wr450.

I'll throw in my housing and fender that have the holes drilled to mount the led signals.

you pay shipping or come to me!

Cleaned/oiled air filters, oil change, adjusted needle one clip richer, scrubbed and lubed chain, cleaned throttle to get that snap back, aired up tires, gassed up. All set for Stonyford tomorrow.

I replaced the battery.

On my last ride the bike would not start immediately as usual with the press of the e start ( starter wire mod done) . Checked the battery voltage the next day 12,6 V seems ok but runs down over a week's time to below 12 V . When cranking it drops to 8 V .....not good.

I replaced the old battery with the same YTZ7S Yuasa it has 130 CCA and now I can even start the bike with the e start when cold. It looks like the old battery was never 100 percent from the start.

I bought a CTEK XS 0.8 battery tender and hooked it up to the battery

No need for a expensive lithium ion battery , the original works fine and is have the price in ZA

I got a stock decompression plug to put in my 03 wr450 nice how they are held in by literally nothing. Also nice how the starter kicks back!

Get an 18mm freeze plug from an auto parts store. They're pretty cheap and stay in much better than the stock one.

Thanks if this one blows out I'll try it. Going to upgrade to the tt version some day.

Just bought it off a friend and thought I would strip it down regrease it sand blast frame respray it polish plastics etc get it new. Only has 5500 km on it and rides amazing but thought it would be good to do a full maintenance.

I'm looking forward to doing the same to mine. Here's a little video from Stonyford (not sure why it's not HD):

LED's all done. Low light pictures are the Day Time Running light and then the low beam and then high beam. The Headlight is a H4 LED headlight and the DRL is a LED 194 replacement from M4 products in Chattsworth.. Much better than the HID I had.
