What did you do to your WR today?

Picked up a 2006 WR 450 after my WR 250 was stolen. Worked on it this winter. It had a leaky fork seal, so I called up Dave and ended up revalving the front and rear.  Lots of little stuff like tweaking the jets, new rotors, hand and frame guards, decals, and what not. Headed down to CAW next weekend, hope I put it back together right!

Whoa, that thing is crossing a gnarly stream by itself! Ghost bike!

I thought I'd mount up a trials tire and ride thru that stream to get a nice pic. That stream was deeper with bigger rocks, then originally thought!!!

Got a new chain and sprockets, steering bearings and a new pusher Spal fan to install.

figured I would start with the worst part......I hate doing steering bearings .......mostly just getting the races out and new ones in .

Gonna mount the fan between the guards and the rads , but where would be best ? Left, Right side ? and then .... Top,  Middle or bottom ?

More of what "we did" to my friend's new WR: put new seat bolts in. Yep, the seat came flying off 15 minutes into his break-in ride. We're laughing about it now because I asked the usual "did you check spokes, set sag, grease bearings" etc., Yep, yep, yep.

And there's your seat. Over there.

Installed Tusk oversize front brake rotor/Acerbis rotor guard, UFO '05 YZ rear fender.

The rotor and guard went on without a hitch. The rear fender needed to be dremyled in a few places to allow the overflow bottle to fit up.

Decorked, JD jet kit, grey wire, radiator guards.

I removed the carb so I can become familiar with working on the bike. What an absolute PITA it was to get the intake boot back on!!!!

Up next is street legal kit and new grips. Cant wait to get it out and ride this weekend.

First off, sorry for the large pictures. I don't know how to resize them.

With that out of the way I got my grips on and Tusk street legal kit installed:

I had my mechanical buddy install a '08 YZ cam in my '02 426

Rode it today. Thing started first kick, I am trying to get used to using a soft kick now. So much better than the compression lever ritual

The engine seems stronger also.

If you have a 426, this mod is the trick to make the bike fun.

New FX graphics for Independence day.  They went on well, better than some other brands I've used.

Well I bought one finally! Drove 18 hours for it. 2013 with only 12 hours on it. Flawless. GYTR Exhaust ECU Tuner & Radiator Braces. I have a set of lightly used WR250X wheels shipping this week to me, and will be (back)ordering the Tusk Enduro Kit soon. Any advice on recommended ECU settings for slower trail riding?ImageUploadedByThumper Talk1404483475.304009.jpgStay tuned!

So i just rebuild my top end of my 2005 250F, i had 35 houres on my piston and cylinder so i decided to rebuild it.
it ran perfectly before the rebuild, my timing is right, i have spark, en my sparkplug is a little wet so i have fuel... If i try to kick it it starts to run but after 2seconds it stops running. does anyone know what i have to do?
      thx Medard from belgium

      Hey Guys,
So I am 270# and 6'. I used to ride and want to get back into it. I definitely have a good amount of experience to handle both a 250 and 450 but not sure if a 250 will be able to handle me.
Right now the bikes I am between are:
2012 YZ450F @ 50 hours for $4000 CAD and trail ridden https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1302150376&requestSource=b 2012 KX450F @ 35 hours for $3800 CAD and trail ridden https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1300722287&requestSource=b 2010 CRF450R @ 45 hours for $3200 CAD and trail ridden https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1296942462&requestSource=b All these bikes are in really good condition from what I can see from the pictures and none of them raced or track ridden. My plan is to build a 5 acre track in my backyard and build some sort of track along with mainly using it for trail riding.
I guess what I am asking is for some suggestions and opinions that could help me decide.

Very nice Rekluse Core EXP 3.0 Clutch that has been ran for about 40 - 50 hours.  The Core EXP 3.0 gives you the best of both worlds as it is fully automatic and allows you to operate it just like you would a manual clutch.  Was getting ready to install in a 2017 YZ250F so I wanted to freshen it up and bought a brand new EXP 3.0 Disc which has never been oiled up or installed.  Before getting time to install the clutch, I decided to sell the bike.  It fits a 2014 - 2018 Yamaha YZ250F.
ONLY $575 shipped anywhere in the lower U.S.
Please call or text me at 801-362-8899.
      Thanks!
