What did you do to your WR today?

Took her out two days in a row in 100 degree heat...got tired....laid it down (because I was tired) and bent the clutch lever and tore the grip up. Now I gotta get new parts :-)

Why ohh why would you ever do that! :bonk:

I took the front end apart to regrease the steering stem bearings.

Its come down to where I need to replace it. its served me about 600hours. I also need something a little more distance worthy.

Ill probably replace it with a XT660R or XR650R

JD jetting kit install. a 170 jet, blue #4, and the o-ring installed.

New chain installed to compliment the new drive sprocket.

Now I'm just waiting on my MT43. :bonk:

What did I do with my WR today? I traded it off to my friend for drywalling my kitchen and living room. :bonk:

Get the XR and be done with. Be prepared to ride the XR hard and fast to fully enjoy it :bonk:

Rode in some sick mountains this weekend. With some of the monster hills I was looking for more power out of the 450 :bonk:

I bought new grips, Progrip, and ordered a set of MSR levers to replace my clutch lever that was bent into an "L" shape. lol

It was pretty epic, good we got up high on Sat because Sunday morning there was a foot of snow up top where we were riding in these vids :D

Where are you riding? That looks like a lot of fun. The highest we get here in Utah is 9K-10K feet in most cases.

It's a very remote area of BC, hours from anything, you're out there. You have to be prepared to deal with your own sh** . You don't want a bike breakdown, we had to change 2 flats in the howling wind in the alpine :D

Alot of the trails in this area are old cattle trails, starting to disapear, it just doesn't see alot of use, maybe 100 riders a year, so navigation is essential. Only tracks we saw besides are own were animals, lot's of grizzly's in this area, but didn't see any this time...

We aren't really that high, highest peak was 10,000ft, we got to 9,000ft. But treeline up north here is 6500ft, our camp was at 5000ft

We were the only ones around for miles and miles :foul:

Reminds me of what Colorado used to be like 20+ years ago, before quads and closures!

Cleaned and oiled filter. Set rider sag to 100mm.

Did it with the wifes help measuring while I climbed on with gear. After first adjustment the sag was going the wrong way I thought hmmm If I tighten the spring shouldn't the sag be reduced? Ohh well I guess I went the wrong way. I figured I got about 5mm per full revolution. So I spun it the other way 4 turns to hit the target. Got all geared up and had wife measure again. Ohh no for some reason it's even worse than the first time. :worthy: So I questioned wife, did you measure form the spot I told you? That was a mistake. She got all upset and claimed I never screw up but she is always wrong! Ok Ok honey that's fine I'll just go back the other way. Spin 8 times the other way. Honey will you come measure again? Hey what do you know it's getting better now. Just one more turn and right at 100mm :ride:

Thanks for the help honey! :banghead::ride:

ortho boot is long gone.... sg10's are back on..

hope to ride it this weekend..
