What did you do to your WR today?

Recommended Posts

Why pull it out? Get an airbox cleaning kit, pull the plug at the bottom, degrease, scrub, rinse. Repeat if necessary.

Too many chemicals with too little satisfaction...

You pull your seat, pull your sidepanels, loosen the exhaust, and pull the subframe. The airbox slips off the carb, and you're free to clean it however you wish. I even unscrewed the back off of it and got in there further...

Replaced my swingarm bearings and regreased linkage bearings.

Installed 51 tooth rear sprocket.

Shook my rear tire around and heard some little rocks in there.

Removed tire and to my surprise the rocks were in the tube!!! Bizarre???

No flat, cap on valve stem, not to mention some of the little rocks were 1/2 inch diameter.

Were the hell did these come from?????

Thanks!...this is more my thinking....a few beers, some wrenching, and a good cleaning.....not that I wouldn't of figured it out....but you added some speed to my next wrench-fest:thumbsup:

Sounds like some sort of David Blaine magic trick. Let us know if you find an Ace of Spades and a quarter thats torn in half in there...

yz426 front plate, took more trimming than i had anticipated, and a bracket due to the wr mount being different to the yz on the tripple clamp.

removed all blinkers and tail light too.

It turns out "so I've been told" that moisture in the tube can cause talc that's in the tube to ball up. That jives with what I was able to shake out the valve stem. White chalky substance that you can crush with force.

I was told it was harmless so I flipped my tire and threw the tube back in.

Just sonds like a rattle if you shake the tire :excuseme:
