FMF Bars

I have a set of FMF 909 bars that I cant get the cross bar tight. I have put 2 sets of hardware on and crank them down as tight as I can , and they still flex and make this creek noise. Can I put another cross bar on? Any tips? ?

Has know one ever ran into this problem? Can I shim up the clamps to make them tighter?

I just got off the phone with them, They said that I can mail my bars in and they will mail me another set. ?
