Stiffer suspension for long range tank?

I've just bought and fitted a long range tank for my 02 WR 426.

My suspension is valved for my weight/ability with a YZ tank on it, which I think holds about 7 - 7.5 litres.

The long range tank holds 12 litres. Will I have to up my fork compression damping to compensate for the heavier tank?

That's about 12lbs or 5.5kg of fuel. I think that you're correct about adding some compression, but see how it rides first. Definitely check the sag again.
