For all the Vets out there this is old news,but for newbies such as my self,THINGS COME LOOSE!!!. Every problem or potential problem I've had can be traced back to poor maintanance..loose rear sprocket bolts ended a great day early.Found my kick start lever ready to fall off and my favorite loose carb mounts which made it run like a POS.I was ready to rebuild the carb or get it rejetted.So anyway a few minutes before or after a ride can save alot of heartache.
