Yeah my 2003s does the same, I;m gonna try riding without front fender to see if that helps.

But sometimes its scary, hope to find out more info.

Slide forward on the seat, this will reduce the headshake, you can also lift the forks in the triple clamps, don't go more than 15mm, Rhys.

Wheels balanced? Steering head properly tightened and lubed? Front axle properly installed and torqued in the right sequence? suspension properly adjusted and sprung for your weight?

I have found that new tires have a bigger tendency to wobble. Make sure they are balanced and slide forward on the seat at higher speeds.

check the spokes on the rear wheel. mine does it about 80mph, on my SM

ya at about 80 my bike has a marrzzi front end motarded,seems to be alligned correct.is this a drz sm flaw.if i gear it right my bike will go 110 i feel.453 big bore with pumper.i just switched to s e model street legal frame.any more help out there?????????????

You have to remeber the bike was not made to do 100, or even 80. The wobble is normal for all of the DRZs. Try a stablizer. It will dampen the turning abilities of the steering stem enough to stop the wobble. As far as the wheels you should still check your spokes. You should really try to check them every few hours of riding. Its handy to have a spoke wrench in your tool bag.

Not true. The SM's are certainly made for 80+. The wobble is not normal. True the wheels and get them spin balanced.

it could just be the way your riding it. my bike likes me to move around a bit at speed, some roads it'll start shaking a little and it goes away when i tuck up to the tank, some roads the opposite.

i felt it alot when i first got the bike, but hardly ever notice it now.

Cutting my shrouds made a huge difference in time-to-top-speed and the wobble when slid to the rear in full tuck. I tuck one-handed, so that wobble HAD TO GO!

Bayou, I still marvel at your cutting ability. I would love to cut my shrouds, but I am such a friggin' klutz, it'll end up looking like I used a lawnmower with dull blades. Sincere jealousy at the smoothness of your cuts.

Bobby mocks a decent contour in tape with the shroud on Fang.

Bobby preps tape lines for the cut.

Using nice, sharp shears (tin snips), he makes one pass of a series of small cuts to get the results you're talking about.

He sure is! My cuts look like my dog chewed on it, hence my apprehension to do it myself.

I suspect though, the shears make a big difference. I know mijne are a bit 'Long in the tooth' albeit good quality. I'll have to get a fresh pair and test.

Try loosening your grip on the bars. Quite often the rider will induce a headshake. As the wind buffets your shoulders, that energy will transfer down your arms and into your bars.
