setting sag for trails

Just wondering if I should set my sag differnt for riding trails. I have 00 yz 426 and I just replaced all bearings. I know I want to soften up susp. but not sure on sag. It seems to be alot higher off the ground now, the bearings where killed. Thanks

Sag settings should be about the same regardless. Remember that increasing the sag makes the bike lower, but doesn't change the spring rates (stiffness) in any way.

Gray is right. Also, you will lose some steering if you put more sag in the rear, which on tight trails will be noticable. If you're looking for a more plush ride, then back out your compression dampening on shock and fork.

Thanks guys that helps out alot!!!
