Looking to change tire size on rear?

Recommended Posts

I'm getting ready to purchase new tires for my 04 WR250F. The worn out 739 is a 100/100-18, can I upgrade to a 110/100-18 with no problems? It looks like this tire is about a half inch taller and a quarter inch wider, will I notice a difference with this tire?

This tirer problem is also in the CRF 250 forum. From what I know the 250 doesen't have the power to spin a tirer made for the 450.

I've been running 110 rear tires on my 02 WR250F and now my 06 YZ250F. They both have NO problem pulling that size tire, whoever thinks there is not enough power to pull a 110 tire on the rear of a 250F is wrong.

The 110 is heavier but you'll get better traction and wear from it vs a 100 rear tire. If you jump a lot then stay with the lighter 100, for traction go with the 110.

As a result of what av has said in this and other threads I have started running a Dunlop 952 110/90-18 on my '03 WR250F. No issue at all.
