radiator question...

ive got a 2000 426 im 'restoring' and i need a right side radiator.

does anyone know if the rads from a 250/125/450 will bolt up and still maintain the original plastics?

im assuming maybe a 125 or 250 rad from 00-02??

I believe that 400 and 426 radiators only will interchange. Here I found you a set on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-YAMAHA-YZF-426-CC-DIRTBIKE-STOCK-RADIATOR_W0QQitemZ130166329680QQihZ003QQcategoryZ35595QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

thanks 642.

im watching em.

i got the 426 from a good friend of mine and im building a supermoto race bike out of it. the right radiator looks like a banana so i wanna get that sorted out. and just for reference, the 400 and 426 rads are slightly different in the area where the shrouds mount. the 400 mounting tabs are parallel with the frame and the 426 shroud mounts have a 45deg angle to em. ( i have a yz400 also) thats why i assumed the 2000 and later years might be the same.

ill keep my eye out though

If the radiator is just racked, banana'd tweaked, smashed or torn (read that as "Anything but missing from the bike"), try sending it to Myler's. They are miracle workers

Look at their before and after pics. Won't be as pretty as new, but it will fit perfectly, will flow perfectly, and will be almost dirt cheap.

nice find birdy.

ill see how the fleabay ones go. if i dont get em, ill send mine off.....in which case, ill post before and afters.

They have before/afters on the web site. Click the "Our Work" link.

saw that gray, thanks.

i meant that if i sent mine to em, id post up my before/afters for you guys. luckily the one i have isnt nearly as bad as some of the ones on their site.

the only right radiator that fits the 2000 426 are from a 2001, 2002 YZ and WR 426. the 125, 250, and 450 use different radiators.
