thanks mate, that's a great looking yz you have there!! I love the stock look you have gone for and I respect that as it take lots of time and money to restore older bikes to there original condition. go to my thread for more pics and info

Now that is nice! We are working on our 1999 YZ125 and hope to get where you are by next spring. The clutch and ignition covers, and new rims are all next years additions. For now we

are getting close. The rear brakes are now on our YZ125 now and we also just installed the Works frame guards.

Thanks!

I like the rebuild thread there and what you did to the bike. It sure looked like it needed some attention. What kind of radiators did you buy? I was looking at them online, but wasn't which ones to get. Our originals are in OK shape, but I wouldn't mind swapping them out next year.

This is my 1996 Yz250 that I bought for $100 with a blown engine. Have about $300 worth In parts. Overall it's a sweet bike for the age.?ImageUploadedByThumper Talk1383592887.874524.jpg?ImageUploadedByThumper Talk1383592900.255090.jpg?ImageUploadedByThumper Talk1383592928.138335.jpg

ASD Allsports makes a tank that fits on the frame and allows newer 07-09 or 10 yzf 250 shrouds to be used.

Edit: could you post a link to a website? I googled asd allsports and can't seem to find anything

Strange.  The only photos on the page are of some sort of custom carbon fiber tank (with the new shrouds).  His appears to be plastic (possibly covered or something?).  Company seems to be Italian...kind of weird.

Either way it doesn't look like they're in the business of selling these pieces, so I'm not sure how he got a hold of one.
