Buell headlights installed.

Recommended Posts

I just finished this mod, and haven't riden yet, but they are much brighter than the stocker. They are wired like the Buell in that one comes on for low, then switches to the other for high. I cut up the stock headlight shroud rather than use the Buell windscreen.

badass....

i thought about using the triumph double lights a long time ago but just kinda abandoned the project.

but those buell lights look great. gives me an idea to use those with an HID lowbeam.

what lamp do they use? H1,H3, etc?

Hey, do you have pics of how you mounted it to the bike?

I'm sure there's a bunch of us who'd like to see that.

Looks good, love the bug-eyes.

that looks awesome!! Excellent job on the fairing mod too. Nice and clean and neat. When I first saw one of those buells I remarked "that's what our lights should be- as long as they can be armoured for off-road"-not an issue with sm I guess.

good stuff!

To answer some of the questions.

Bulbs are H7's, and there is a small "parking light" in between that didn't come with a bulb...I'll figure that one out today.

The link justindacey posted it similar to the way I did it. Main difference is that I moved mine up much higher than his, at about stock headlight position.

The filter is just a K&N keychain. I moved the keyswitch to make room for my GPS, and because I got board one night.

I'll get some more pictures in the daylight today.

Mr. Woodmotorsports,

What bike is killer. I love what you have done with it. I wish I had that kind of spare time... and good taste. Keep up the good work.
