What did you do to your DRZ400 today?

Went down for the first time. Dang it sucks. Tore up my right knee and can see my wallet through my back pocket. Rear axle, bottom of right front fork, right handguard, exhaust, some plastics and foot peg got ground up pretty good. Now i know I'm not indestructible...

Stripped down to fix Steering bearings and send the shock and forks to Race Tech

6000 miles on new to me DRZ. Probably never touched

The bearings cleaned up ok but the race in the frame has small grooves and needs to be replaced

I thought about pulling the front wheel to get the tire changed. I ended up spending 2 hours snow blowing and then changed the oil in the blower...

Pulled the carb out and apart and cleaned up the internals the best I could. Probably would be a good time to order the jets for the 3x3 mod though I don't wanna spend 75$ :-/

On to the proper stuff for this fourm...today I put braided steel brake lines on and a speedo eliminator. All Christmas present from my Dad. So no more soggy brakes and no more jury rigged speedo gear. Thanks Dad!

Pulled the stock carb and cleaned it up throuroughly and slapped it back in. I can't believe how smooth this bike can be! This is the frist time I've cleaned it since buying it a couple months ago. 2003 DRZ with only 2400 miles on it...you can imagine gas has sat in there for a while lol

Found the problem with my motor. Bent a valve and it pulled a valve guide out ?

Finished up some winter mods. Installed bar risers and relocated ignition switch. Replaced clutch and lever. Installed hand guards. Replaced air filter, repacked head bearings......next up is some suspension upgrades as soon as the $$ come in.

Greased swingarm and all other bearings

New chain and sprockets 14/44

Free Power Mod

Clutch and Kickstand switch bypassed

New seat concepts seat

New nomadic Rack

Oil and filter

Cleaned and added dielectric grease to all connections
