Just got back from my dealer. 2,850 for the 140 (small wheel) OTD.

What do you think?

tax @ 2500 would be roughly $200 plus other smaller fee's. Dock and Prep not included.

What states dont have tax on bikes? I cant claim "farm use" here in Tx.

I wouldn't say the dealer is raping him by any means. It's a new release so I would not expect dealers to take deep discounts right off the bat.

both dealers close to us are 2850 out the door I bought one. and that was the L price

I think that price is going to be the exception not the rule for a while, at least until there is more bikes available. I think most places are going to sell them for the MSRP due to demand.

Has anyone heard the KLX140 running? I was wondering about the noise level. I have somewhat of a "track" in the backyard and was considering one for that but noise is obviously a factor.

Well there definitlynot loud, you have to be listening to hear them lol. took our endcap off lookin what could be modified to get more flow, nothin, looks like a double barrel shotgun inside, very well made bike.
