adj valves or leave a bit longer

I have an 07 with a little over 2000 miles now. I'm in the process of checking the valves. I've got one intake at .004 and one exhaust at .008. Both of these valves are on the right side of the engine and although within factory tolerance they are at the minimum specification for the intake and the exhaust. Should I adjust them to a larger tolerance or let them go for a few thousand miles? Thanks!

i would just keep a close eye on them. there's a good chance that's how they were set at the factory. i like them on the low side myself. if you run them on the low side, valve clearance inspections should be done more often.

i would adjust them and set them in the middle of the range , i would keep an eye on them for a while , just to make sure they are not moving .

LOL, If you have a shim kit, I'd adjust them, if not, I'd leave them be. But... I'd check them again in 500 miles. If they have closed up more, then it is time to do something proactively, like fitting RHC valves, springs and retainers. If they are moving, you want to fix it before they let loose altogether. If they do not move, then it is likely they were like that from the factory as RHH said.

i would leave it and keep checking unless you really feel like adjusting them.

In spec means in spec. Leave 'em alone until they're out of spec. It's as simple as that.

I just rechecked mine saturday. In 5,000 miles my intakes didn't move,but I lost .001" on both exhausts. Not bad. I'll probably recheck 'em in a couple more thousand miles.
