Difference in plastic?

What is the difference in the plastic between an 03 450 and the 04-07 450???

if i remember rite the front number plate and the fork protectors wont interchange. i tried some 02 stuff on my 04

03-04 plastic is the same from 02-04, with the exception of the front numberplate and color (04). 05-06 are the same, 07-up is slightly different.

No, the new stuff (or its graphics) doesn't fit on older bikes.
