Hi all, I just picked up a 1998 XR650L with 10k miles on it, I'm getting ready to pull the carb out to check for mods (if any). I plan to do the Dave's mods to it. what I can see from the outside is I have a full Youshumri exhaust system (header and pipe), UNI air filter. My questions are: what jets to use, (I'm in Atlanta Ga.) and also what to look at to check for "uncorked" airbox, if it's still corked I will uncork it if someone would tell me how I plan to ride the bike 90% street. So with my after market exhaust, uncorked air box and uni filter, would I stay with Dave's reccomendations of 55/158, .030 needle shim, mixture screw out 2.5 turns, and slide drilled out to 5/32?
