Aftemarket shock link

I am curious, what will an aftermarket shock link do for ride quality? What does it fix or help out with? :applause: Thanks.

They use 'em to raise or lower the rear end(if they're a different length compared to stock) which changes the head angle and steering characteristics.

Which YZ you looking to mod 400,426,450? There might be easier/cheaper ways to get what you want based from other members experience.

Shock links also change the suspension rate. The linkage provides an amount of rising rate (gets stiffer as it compresses further). Shorter links reduce or even reverse this, longer ones increase it. For most folks, they change link length to easily raise or lower a bike. However, the correct way to do this is via internal spacers in the shock and fork.
