Same here !  Through the last 30 + yrs. I've owned the yellow, green & blue bike to end up with a red one afterwards.  I've tried the orange bike, but feel they are overpriced considering they come with garbage WP suspension from the factory...

I had 2 kawis and i swear they build them so cheaply mine looked trashed and felt so loose after minimal hours. I liked my yz250 ALLOT. But something about the quality and fit and finish of a honda you just cant beat.

So for me this is a HUGE change, i got my 2005 crf 250 when it was brand new in mid 05. I've had it this whole time. Never owned a 450 and recently i sold a project car of mine and bought a brand new 2016 crf450.

its absolutely crazy how gnarly this bike is. The 11 years difference is other worldly between my old bike and this one.

I've never riden an EFI bike so just touching the throttle for me was almost shocking to feel/hear the engine rev so quickly.

Got to take it out for the first ride, and im more than amazed. I mean when i've seen so many very strict reviews on this bike i was somewhat skeptical of whether or not it was going to be worth it. But for me is an all around great bike. I love the way the transmission shifts, the clutch feels, the power comes on, responsiveness and i even love the air forks.

The maps are amazing too because there really is such a noticeable difference between them. I've only riden between standard and soft since im still in break in period. but its amazing how you can actually feel the difference with throttle response between standard and soft maps. The soft map to me feels closer to a carbed bike and the power is much more progressive, where as the standard has a noticeably more responsive throttle. I can't even imagine the aggressive map yet but we shall see. Very happy !!

It's a circuit headlight as per world enduro team. Has a 35watt halogen bulb. I don't run it on all the time.
