DRZ overheating & boiling, unlikely to be head gasket, any suggestions?

DRZ overheating & boiling, unlikely to be head gasket, any suggestions?

Specifics? Model, year, symptoms leading up to it, etc.

01 400e, full yoshi, kehin carb with jd kit and the usual airbox mods. bike has steam pissing from overflow after riding for 15-20 min.

is it actually overhetaing. or just boiling over because of a possibly bad radiator cap. have you replaced the cap?

Cap seems fine....or is fine? is the system pressurizing? have you drained the coolant lately.....rads airlocking?

low speed riding? moderate pace? if it doing this with any sort of air flow at all past the rads,it IS LIKELY to be the head gasket.

Could it be the water pump?? not circulating?? Just guessing here.:thumbsup:

just noticed quite a bit of oil on swingarm, could a blown head gasket pressurise the sump and force oil out the breather pipe?
