Daytona [AMA]

did you guys see that race? That was wickid. By far worst conditions ive seen the AMA pro's race on TV...

What did you all think?

It was a mess! I would like to know what REED did to his bike. I don't know if he fried the clutch or blew it up. But man was it nasty...

Looked like he tosted his exhaust valves.

Looked like he tosted his exhaust valves.

Yeah it was backfiring like crazy towards the end.

i like how on the speed tv coverage, i think it was ricky carm. taht said only way he can lose is with malfunction and it happens on the last lap. that is a bummer:p

I knew something like that was going to happen it was his time to lose.

Just think about it. last lap leading by like a minute and your bike breaks!!! That definitly would suck!!!!!

I would've tried to push it, probably with failure but hey, he was so close to the finish!

karma is a bitc#!!!

Wasnt he only like 2 corners away? Im thinkin it was a little to muddy to push though!

Did you see how he pointed to someone with rage. I hope he wasn't pointing to his mechanic... Also they gave him 6th place even if he did not finish, how come??

I dont think he was just pointing to his mechanic.. I heard he was giving him the finger!!

Chad Reed is a punk.

Always has been and always will be.

That was a great race. Honestly one of the funnest AMA Daytona supercrosses I have ever watched.

I agree about karma.

It has been fun seeing Kevin making a somewhat comeback.

I'm pretty sure they (AMA)would have penalized him for cutting the track twice anyway so its better it ended the way it did so all he can whine about is own team, and the fact that the goat designed the track for Kdub:ride:

I was wondering that also......

Chad Reed is a punk.

Always has been and always will be.

+1

He's the MX version of Matt Mladin.

Reed has never had a good thing to say about anyone but himself and always has an excuse when things don't go his way.

Of course it was his mechanics fault. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact the his bike had been sucking water all night.

maybe he shoulda just ran to the finish line and tookthe checkered flag lol

i was super mad when reeds bike blew up i was like *** on the last lap lol it was crazy and did u see i think it was gibson's bike like standing straight up trying to get it out in a rut or mud pit lol that was crazy

and the fact that the goat designed the track for Kdub

If the track was designed for K-Dub , then why was he a minute behind ?

I understand everyone has got to have someone to rag on , but seriously ... give Reedy some credit for his performance . You never know , his mechanic could have been over there yelling something stupid like " pull the Hotstart "

Don't get me wrong ... I'm a K-dub fan as well . But the guy takes a pitstop and still wins the race . In my mind , he'd given up on 1st place and was just hoping Reedy would have a failure .

All in all , that was one of the best races of the season ( for the sheer spectacle ) .

Also they gave him 6th place even if he did not finish, how come??

He completed 11 laps before anyone else and only 5 guys did 12 laps. Only the winner has to complete every lap, after that, then you are ranked by how many laps you did complete.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Star battles Through All-New Format Hell’s Gate to Finish Second
February 11, 2018 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Graham Jarvis has earned a strong second place at the 2018 Hell’s Gate extreme enduro. With an all-new format for this year, concluding in a 20-minute sprint race, the event posed a fresh challenge for the five-time winner.
For the first time ever, the event kicked off with a Prologue race on the Friday night. Designed to set the starting order for Saturday’s race, the Prologue was an endurocross style event held close to the hosting Il Ciocco Hotel. Although it provided a great spectacle for the fans, the race results were eventually scrapped due to issues with the course.
Saturday’s heat race went well for Jarvis. An expert at managing his pace, the Brit did exactly what he had to do over the five-laps, finishing fourth aboard his Husqvarna FE 250 in the cold conditions of the Tuscan hills. The position gave him a good start for the night race, which saw riders set off at 3.30pm for a tough three-hour multi-lap event.
At the conclusion of the night race, the top-10 riders were given a 15-minute break before contesting the new 20-minute endurocross in the arena area of the venue. In freezing conditions, the riders fought bar-to-bar in front of the record-crowd of spectators to decide the overall winner. With the final results calculated on the sum of the previous legs, Jarvis was announced as runner-up, just a few minutes behind eventual winner Mario Roman.
Graham Jarvis: “I really enjoyed the racing today, I always do here at Hell’s Gate. It’s been a tough couple of days and I’m still getting used to riding the 4-stroke, but the bike has been absolutely faultless over the entire weekend. It has been pretty close between the top-four all day and it’s all come down to the final 20-minute race off. It would have been nice to take my sixth win at the event, but I’m happy with second.”

My top end went on m 98 cr 125, the needle bearing clip came out and broke apart and shrapnel got everywhere and blew it up. I cleaned out the top end and washed out the crank with the bike upside down. the bike starts up great and seems to run fine but im getting a weird di-di-di-di-di-di-di noise coming from the motor. i tried adjust the power valve and tightening everything but the noise is still there. Here is a link to a video where you can hear the sound. It gets louder as rpm's get higher and at really low rpm barely idling it goes away. I am pretty new to bikes and 2 strokes so any help would be appreciated.

I want to get a cheaper used FMF exhaust for my bike. The one on eBay I was looking at had some dents in it. Do dents in the muffler have a big impact on the performance? Also the pipe looks to be turned the wrong way does that rotate? I don't want to buy this if the pipe will not rotate because I think it looks like its turned the wrong way and wouldn't fit.
