Stand

Recommended Posts

Been lurking around on EBAY looking for a new stand for my bike...

I'm new to the dirt, so what's a good stand to go with that is stable and I can actually work on the bike without worrying about the stand breaking or bike falling off?

Also, what kind of chains do you guys run? O-ring or non O-ring?

The cheaper aluminum stands have always work good for me. I just can't see spending the extra money on a "name brand"

I use to run an o-ring chain, but for the price of an o-ring chain I can buy three standard chains. Standard chains do take more maintenance, but are much easier to work with while chaining a tire on the trail.

sidewinder chains... I'm telling you, I think they even warranty them for life as well as there sprockets and counters

Awesome.

Thanks.

Whaddya' know about the stands you can get off of E-bay with the pedal to step on and raise up the bike?? Worth a Sh*t?

Thanks,

go with the universal monocoque. it is a little bit extra money, but it is made out of steel. ive had mine since 2005, it was even run over by a truck. those cheap aluminium stands never last for more than a year.

Now that's a good looking stand!

Thanks for the suggestion!
