I can't get that page to come up, but I've seen them before. They were in my magazine about a year ago (I think). Weighed like 320 pounds? Good idea, but it kinda sucks that diesel is 4.29 here.

yea but it gets 100 mpg. Who cares if it is a big ol pig, thats one hell of a commuter bike and would be great for desert racing.

diesel motor would make a really bad MX motor, they are extremily heavey and are slow to speed up, and run at a lower RPM. they make really high compression though!

Imagine adding a small turbo to it.... that bike would be sick, and get killer mpg..?

that all vehicles run on JP8, a universal fuel used by U.S. and NATO military forces.

JP8 is the same fuel used in all of our fighter aircraft...aka jet fuel.

Course there is no glamor to "jet fuel" its just a mix of diesel and kerosene.

Not too much. The added weight of the plumbing, turbo, fuel pump. Something to regulate boost and wastegate. Remapping fuel and timing.

Would add a ton of weight and would rape your MPG's big time.

Could be done in a heavier quad frame but not likely in a 2 wheeler w/o getting Harley style curb weight.

If done right, the turbo should add BOTH power and MPG.

Would add weight & complexity, though.
