Recommended Posts

I thought Id share some pictures from last week. I still cant figure out how to paste them onto the thread darn it! I tried a couple different ways and it didnt work:rant:

I went to the ranch to help my girl friend on the property. I figured it is the perfect place to get back on the bike and start riding again.

Im so happy I cant even explain just how good it feels to be riding again.

But the funny thing is in between my thumb and index finger, it hurts. I was thinking it must be from the cast rubbing there for 7 weeks and then riding with a brace after that. Hmmmm...Im hoping that goes away and is just from the rubbing.

I wuv ponies and horses! My girlfriend with the ranch is going to be breeding her painted horse soon. I cant wait! I have never gotten to be a part of a horse birth.

Thanks, I would love to join you but I have to get a new transmission in my truck. It is slipping now and I have to wait for my bro-inlaw to do it because he gets a smokin deal working for Chevrolet. Im babying it for the next two weeks while he is on vacation this week and wont be able to help me out till the following. So I may have to stick around here for spring break :sweden:

But ya never know I may be able to work something out:thinking:

I also need my bike worked on...it smokes and stinks to ride behind. I have never repacked the pipe in the 4 years I've owned it, and i really dont think it is my valves, but perhaps it is. I was going to have Kelli's Husband check it out for me. I need to make an appointment with "The Agent" as they call him.

I should be learning :excuseme: this stuff so I can do it myself. UGH...It just does not interest me on that level. Lets just say I am more the creative type, Im not so into mechanics. Im sure I will pay for it out on the trail one day!

I have plans to ride track on my DRZ the weekend of 4/7...I hate when you have more then one good time to choose from. Poor me! I have planned on doing this track day for some time now. I am doing it with a friend and borrowing some leathers. Im so excited and nervous about doing this that you'd think It was pre-race nerves. I guess they call it first time on the track butterflies.

Either way let me know where you decide to go in the slight chance my plans change.

You have to click on the insert photo icon, the one that's a little picture, then you copy and paste the one that says "direct link", the second one down under the picture, on the photobucket page. I believe you have to do it one at a time. I just learned not too long ago myself.

YAHOO for you, too! Glad you've got the cast off... I'm even MORE excited about the Ranch, now, after seeing those pics...

Ooo, fun! Just to clarify, you said leathers, so I'm assuming you are taking the DRZ on the street track?? Or are you going Supermotard?

I hear you about the jitters... I'm prepping for my first street track/class in two weeks, and I'm a bit of a wreck! :excuseme: I need to get some riding time in for sure, I've been out for so long... I went for a ride in the twisties this past weekend on the Triumph, and man, I was SO SLOW... I wouldn't've been surprised if a Harley had passed me! :excuseme:

Thanks pammy and everybody!

I am riding Motard and plan on wearing leathers. Even though I dont plan on wrecking or going fast I want all the protection I can get. That is if I fit comfortably in them.

If Harley's are passing you LTF...your in trouble! lol I just got a quick flash back of passing Hulk Hogan (or whatever the dudes name is) on my DRZ. It was like he was almost ready to tip over he was going so slow on his Harley.

Gee LTF, if I were at the ranch the weekend you do your track day Id invite you to stay over. It is 20 minutes from Willow. Oh well...you will be driving right back to the same area the follow week. It least you'll know how to get there.

Thanks Plush! BTW I get so many compliments on my beenie!

I went horse back riding yesterday for 4 hours! It was AWESOME! It has been a while since I have rode a horse. I didnt have the confidence I do on the bike. I couldnt power out lol I did gallop though and jumped a creek. This horse doenst like to cross everything on the trail and gets weird sometimes. My friend starts revealing all these things about the horse after I am on the horse and away from base. We did some really narrow hillside trails like I would take on my bike. It kind of freaked me out a little not trusting the horse and all four feet.

In my perfect world I would have horses and bikes and boats.

Hi Sun--that's funny, there've been a few trails that I thought I wished I was on horse rather than a bike!

I went to a Mother/daughter (I went as an aunt) weekend at a horse camp. It had been a long time since I had ridden, and the wranglers treated me like an old grandma. But I was amazed how riding the dirt bike kept all my horse moves up. The games were really fun (barrel racing, keyhole, pole bending, throwing "spears" and rocks in buckets)--ol' Grandma Plushpupy smoked em! (I admit that felt good, I was getting tired of being babysat--you know how people do that? I was so waiting for a chance to grab the throttle and roost them!) I also had a chuckle when one of them left the box of matches on top of the woodstove after they made a fire and the box caught on fire. even ol Grandma PP knows enough not to do that!
