Hibernation Update....

Recommended Posts

It was 40 and sunny out today:applause: only about 2 to 3 feet of snow to melt and a bunch of salt and sand to wash off the roads and we can play again, The light is at the end of the tunnel....

Hair dryer won't do it, I'm calling in a napalm strike for the front yard!!

These are the size of the chunks I'm chopping off the side of my shop.

I'd rather bring it down on my terms. One of my neighbors had the side of his garage cave in from snow sliding of the roof.

Here in Maine we have 3 feet left to go as well. 6 fresh inches today didn't help matters at all. We've got old barns and garages dropping like flies. On a brighter note, I can see out my garage windows for the first time in 2 months.

Yeah, this has been the winter from hell!! That chunk I'm standing on was hanging off the end of the roof. Had to cut it down before it did real damage to the wall of the shop.

I had fun with the camera the other day..... Put my boots in the snow before the wife came home from the store.

Got the response :confused: I wanted!!

Safe to assume you're not totally against global warming? :confused:

Hope you get to ride one of these days.

:confused::excuseme::crazy::excuseme:

I have a friend from Idaho; she bailed out & moved to Florida for the winter. Looks like she made the right choice! She's coming by FAR Manor to visit on a 17-state swing, ending up in Colorado where she'll try to put down roots....

You know, I'm not totally against the whole winter / snow thing... Worked in Palm Springs for 20 years before retiring and moving to the westcentral mountains of Idaho. We enjoy the different seasons. But enough is enough!! Just to show what we are experiencing, last year at this time there was 15 inches of snow in town. This year there is 45. Total snow fall last year was 132 inches, this year 200 inches!! These numbers are as of March 18 and published in our local weekly newspaper "The Star News". Woke up to 4 more inches in the driveway this morning!! Global Warming my :confused: !!
