Removing and cleaning the powervalve...guide or instructions?

Recommended Posts

Anyone have links to instructions for removing and cleaning the powervalve?

To be honest, I'm not even entirely sure where it is (kinda makes me fell newbish)! I know where my adjuster is (upper right side of clutch case), but I wouldn't know what to remove and clean.

I have a stock pile of Super Techniplate that I need to run through and I hear it gums up the PV pretty good. I would like to start cleaning it more often.

Any help on this or pictures to get me started?

Dude,

check out www.ktmtalk.com there are step by step instructions and pictures.

it can't get any easier.

The instructions are "Scott" proof...

I was searching both sites looking for the instructions. Apparently I need to work on my search skills!

I'll keep looking....

Found it! Thanks.

Why is this not in the KTM 2-Stroke FAQ that is stickied to this forum. Or maybe in the 200club thread. It is someone else's work so just give credit where credit is due.

Oh well...back to work!

Veccster: This is your chance to become famous on this site by taking pics and posting your PV work.

Just a note, the KTMTalk PV "how to" only applies directly to the 200's.

The 250 / 300 PV is a different beast.................

That's a video about welding the pin on the 250/300 PV. It isn't about adjustments or cleaning the PV.
