Impact wrench OK to use for CounterSprocket Nut removal?

Hi Guys:

I'm going to a 14 tooth countersprocket on my 2002 "S" model. I've read all about the loctite fix and correct torque procedures from the FAQ's but am wondering if it's OK to use a impact wrench when removing the CS nut? Also, any other method than the rear brake for holding while knocking it loose? Just checking before I screw anything up. c good

I use an air impact to take it off and it works just fine.

In fact I do not have to use the rear break when doing it this way. Just leave it in neutral and ziiip...it's loose.
