OVER THE WEEKEND I PURCHASED 2 OLD BIKES AND IAM A BIT UNSURE TO THE EXACT MODELS SO I CAN ORDER PARTS.THE FIRST ONE IS A YAMAHA 125 IN ORANGE CHASIS NUMBER IS AT1 318802,I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT MIGHT BE A AT1-MX NOT SURE.THE SECOND ONE IS ALSO A YAMAHA 125 IN RED CHASIS NUMBER 1F9102983 AND IS A 1977 MODEL JUST SAYS ON v5 2 WHEEL MOTORCYCLE.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.?

I can't find a listing for the AT1 but I'd expect it to be 71 or earlier, sorry can't get any closer

MANY THANKS FOR REPLYS,JUST A BIT MORE INFO.THE AT1 HAS NO LIGHTS ON IT,HAS A HIGHER FRONT MUD GUARD AND A LONGER EXHAUST TAIL PIPE THAN THE AT1s I HAVE SEEN,ALSO HAS NOT GOT A AUTO LUBE OR PUMP. THE PISTON ONLY HAS 1 RING ON IT LIKE MOTO CROSS SO IAM WANDERING IF IT IS A AT! MX.TRYED A FEW SITES BUT NOT MUCH INFO.

It was pretty common on the autolube Yamahas to remove that system for racing, to lighten the chassis. Instead of automatic oiler a racer simply used mixed gas/oil.

Also very common to change exhaust for more power. A longer exhaust can give more bottom end power to a high revving engine originally designed for peak top end power. Hard telling what parts swapping may have been done in 30+ years!??
