jetting for altitude...

Recommended Posts

hey there, just picked up a 2001 ttr125 for the kid and am trying to get it all tuned up before I give it to him...nothing like a broken present. I was woundering if someone could help me out with jetting the carb. right now the bike is stock. I am planning on doing the airbox mod, stock exhaust, and we are at about 200-2500 ft above sea level. Any help would be greatly appreciated...what size jets, how many turns out on the fuel screw etc. Hope to hear soon, birthday is quickly approaching!

I'm considerably higher than that, but once you've done the free mods (as per sticky) see how it runs. I actually didn't need a main jet, but needed a bigger pilot (17.5). I lifted the needle with one washer and all is good.
