Do not shop here! My buddy ordered some parts from this web site, and it took them 6 business days just to get the parts to UPS, then its going to be another 5 business days to get his parts! That is just ridiculous. I can understand the 5 business days for shipping since its comming ground from Michigan to CA, but over a week to get a couple parts to UPS...HORRIBLE SERVICE!

I pretty much grew up in Muskegon, Michigan and i find it very ironic that Babbits Sport Center is a championship winning race team and distributes parts nationally. When i was growing up they were only known for selling expensive snowmobiles and waverunners to locals who had money and knew nothing about either one of them. They never had a big dirtbike selection and nobody ever went there for parts. They're mechanics were inexperienced and over priced. 5 to 10 years ago if you wanted parts or motocross advice in west michigan you either went to Powers Motosports, Jerry Grow's Honda, or somewhere in Grand Haven or Holland. Babbits was always last on the list..maybe second to last to the Podunk Yamaha dealership that was right around the corner from babbits.

Maybe babbits has turned things around since then? I dont really know, but your post doesn't surprise me.

Yea, its the same place. I saw their store on the web site. I'm not sure how they get their parts in relation to the web site, but its a flawed system for sure. They did get shipped from Muskegon, or somewhere in MI because AFTER we called them and asked for the tracking number, we looked at the tracking online, and thats where it came from.

I grew up in Grand Haven, MI and would never go to Babbits and it was only a 15min drive away. They were always known for having crappy service, no parts in stock, and some shady mechanics.

I have a hard time believing 2-3 months. When I order stuff from the TT store (Nevada), it takes about one week for me to get my stuff by the united states postal service. I'm up in BC Canada. This is by ground, but international express.

depends on what goes on at the border, sometimes you'll luck out and it doesn't get inspected, other times it does, and they also charge you $$ to inspect, as well as adding a couple of weeks onto the delivery. Luck of the draw, I've ordered stuff and had it in a week, or just the opposite.. ordered it and it arrives a month and a half later...

just my .02 cents (canadian of course :-)

I purchased my bike there and they said I would get like 45 percent off parts and such. I never got a discount even after complaining about it and they said that I didnt spend enough money there. I guess spending over $6000 in 1day wasnt enough! I wont do business with them either.

Yea I could understand if it was just one person, but when this many people are having problems with the same place, it doesn't look good. Notice no positive feedback?

They did not have the parts in stock and had to order them from the manufacturer. That crap happens all the time with the bigger placces like Babbits. The bad thing is the could have called/emailed after the order was placed to inform the customer of the time length. Thats pretty bad customer service

I've ordered form them twice in the last few months. Prices are good and while it did take a couple weeks to get the parts I wasn't ordering anything I neede right away. At my time of order they did provide and estimated shipping / delivery date and they met those timelines.

Now if you want amazing customer service try Stadiumyamaha.com  I placed an order on their website and the next day I received a personal email confirming my purchase and letting me know the status of every item. AMAZING in my book so look them up!!

I recently ordered a tail light assembly from Babbits for my DR200. I guess mine is the rare GOOD experience here. Their cost was almost $20 less than anywhere else I compared. They gave an estimated shipment/delivery time, and it actually arrived much sooner than that. So I have nothing negative to say.

Bad experience...

Called ahead to make sure a part online was available....

Was told yes with a 5-7 day ship date.

10 days later called back and was told part was unavailable...

Don't bother with this company...

Schitty customer service from babbittsonline...

Garrett Poucher and Skyler Howes of Garrett Offroad Racing are headed to Dakar!  These US privateers are headed there for their first times but Skyler is fresh off a victory at last week's Baja Rally, won the Sonora Rally in March and this team placed third in the Baja 1000.

They have a fundraising link set up and could use your help.
I raced with Garrett at Baja Rally last year and then both of them at Sonora and was honored to pit with them as well.  They're both super guys and work their assess off.  I think they both have good chances of not only finishing the 11 days of Dakar but placing well.
They're doing some rally training events this Sat, Oct 20 in Santa Clarita, CA and then another Oct 28th in St. George Utah so if you've ever considered learning rally raid navigation, this is your chance!  It's a lot of fun too.  More info on that at the link.

Looking to buy a used Beta 2017 500 RRS from outside California.  Can I plate (Register with CA DMV) the bike in CA?  If so what is the best way?  Don't have the money to put down for a new bike from a Dealer in CA.  Any help or sugguestions would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
