I give those mini bike guys props

They have been trying for 3 years now and have yet to finish, hopefully the 4th time is the charm.

What prevents them from finishing? Fuel range, or just difficult course?

Or, something I'll just have to see for myself?

Those guys are insane! I came up on them about 15 miles in and I was like "W*F! Mini bikes? That's just crazy!" Hopefully next year they'll be able to finish.

It took you 15 miles to catch up to them? JK, I know how big the delay was between the two waves while the injured riders were being dealt with.

I gave those guys a bottle of gas just before the 2nd bridge where I found them pushing. It was pretty late in the day and there were hardly any riders left on the course.

Was the dude with the Harley and Indian there again this year? That event really brings out the crazies.

Whatever fever boy! I'm just guessing it was 15 miles, could have been less. I think we were riding for about 20 minutes, although, now I can't recall if it was after the barbed wire fence incident or before, but I'm pretty sure it was after. They were riding smart though, staying out of the whoops and taking the good lines.

I saw the harley as well, but it was on the trailer. That defiantly adds some character. Its amazing the range of machines out there, instead of the usual sea of orange. very cool!

I also saw a rear tire that had been completely ripped from a bike. I have tried to hacksaw threw one of those before. its not easy. I never did see the bike it belonged to....

I saw a guy come through the first road crossing with his tire off the rim and being dragged. He was ALL RIM and was passing people.

Cool but sketchy. Don' think that rim is usable anymore after the D100.

Ironically, that strange fella lives just down the road from me.. He has all kinds of very unique machines.. He likes to tinker I think.. He is a pretty strange guy but not a mean bone in his body and loves to chit chat..

Give the shirt from his back, but dont ask for a bike...

Hi, all. DRZ-400S rider from Kodiak, AK here. I'll have a week to burn next week and just purchased ferry tickets to/from Homer so I can do a solo trip on the mainland. I know it's a little late in the season, but does anyone have any suggestions for places I can go?
Some places I've looked at:  East End Road (Homer), Crown Point Mine Trail (Kenai Peninsula), Hatcher Pass, McCarthy/Kennicott Mine, Chicken, Denali Hwy, etc.
I know it's a little late in the season, so some of these areas may not work (McCarthy/Kennicott comes to mind).  It will be my first time riding a motorcycle on mainland Alaska since 1999-2000.  Any suggestions/advice are greatly appreciated!

Anyone know of any good shops that offer vapor blasting or water blasting or vapor honing. It's all the same thing just different names.
Looking to have some aluminum street bike frames done so need a place that can handle larger pieces.
Some where close to Seattle east side Tacoma that you might recommend.
I found the motoshed in queen Anne but they can't do larger items.
