Making Suspension Stiffer

Recommended Posts

you didn't mention your weight but 'bottoms out much' sounds pretty much like you'd need stiffer springs.

But you can start lowcost and see how much it'll help:

Depending when the last service has been done, put in fresh oil. Old oil wears out and one of the consequences is less damping.

Then you can add more oil (less air chamber).

A higher oil level helps avoiding (or at least reducing) bottoming.

Turn the compression clicker in (clockwise) somewhat.

don't know how much oil you already poured in.

If you are already near the top of the allowed range, than you don't want to add more oil.

If not, then go ahead and add 10ml wise another 20-30ml

Just pay attention not to exceed the max allowed total volume/qty.
