If you had to sell your DRZ400E and share w/wife what would you get?

Recommended Posts

Ok, here we go:

-I own a 2000 DRZ400E (very low hours and it's gotta go)

-wife is a newbie and has never ridden

-wife is 5' 3" tall

-wife wants to share a dirt bike (when she's not atv riding)

-wife has looked at a 1994 yamaha xt225 serow and said it's ugly ?

-turn signals and street legal would be a big plus

-a 6th gear for the highway would be fantastic

Please help guys, what would you buy to if you were going for trail riding mostly but with an occasional road/highway use? We are almost 40 years old and are concerned more with easy maintenance, inexpensive replacement parts, longevity and most importantly a fun trail bike. ?

Thanks in advance for the help.

For dirt/street use and to share with the wife......... I'd say the WRF250SM (or what ever they call it..... The Yamaha 250 SM. I'd just get a set of dirt wheels to go along with it.

Now if it was a bike that we had to share at the same time, and dirt wasn't in the equasion, the Suzuki Boulevard M109R.

Now that one, I am actually thinking about buying anyway!

Why have only one bike?

My wife was getting jealous and wanting to ride, but I'm not much of a sharing person when it comes to my bike so my solution was to just buy her a bike of her own - a Kawasaki KLR250. It needs some work but it'll get the job done, and it only cost me $350, titled and street legal. I'm picking it up at my brothers house in OKC next weekend.
