250 roll start issue

Recommended Posts

so my battery is pretty dead and wont start my motor. i ran started it with full choke and it started right up. so i let it idle for a good 5 minutes, easily warmed up. when i push the choke in to normal it just dies. anyone know why it is running fine with full choke then dying when i push the choke in to normal running position?

I have always had to rev mine when I switch it over... don't know why, but it has always wanted to stall intially when I turn the choke off. I just give the throttle a little twist when I switch it and I'm good to go.

It's something to try anyway.

That's a symptom of a dirty carb with a clogged pilot jet. Has it been sitting for a while? If so, you are probably going to have to clean the carb.
