Billet power tip noise compared to stock

I've Been thinking about getting one of these for the cooler look and a little throatier sound from the exhaust, but wondered how much louder this thing is going to be over stock (as loud as putting a slip on or full exhaust for example)? Reason I ask is because on my xr650l, I had a White Bros pipe on it and to be honest, the thing was obnoxiously loud and annoying when doing any stretch of highway and I don't think I want it if that's what it's going to be like.

Remove the cap from your bike, go for a ride. Will be close to that.

That's exactly what it sounds like. It just looks cleaner.

sounds less than a can too, but a real pipe is a way better sounding option. The only reason that I use it is the police harassment that we have this year.

Just drill out the center of the stock tip with a hole saw, sounds better and you can leave the stock spark arrestor in place.

Thanks, I'll try that.

Since the billet endcap is less restrictive do you need to rejet if you decide to run one?
