when do i have my rear shock rebuilt?

besides the obvious (leaking etc.) I have an 05 kx 250. I have rebuilt the forks twice and I ride every weekend. I also have no problem with the the stock suspension front and rear so I have no interest in sending it away to pro circuit or anything. So i was just wondering if their is a certain maintenance schedule i should follow with the rear shock.

Thanks in advance

Greg

Usually, it depeneds on hours ridden. Go ahead and replace the oil, then if you get a "WOW!! It is SO much better feeling", then you know you let it go too long.

i would not go longer than 6 months on a shock before its serviced.
