Its a 2004, i think, tenth number on the frame number usally represents the year. Does that sound right to you?

Actually I think it is the 7th digit it is going to be a letter.

Nevermind there is 17 digits thats where I got my 7 from. It is the 10th digit but it is going to be a letter unless it is was made between 2001 and 2009 then it will be a number.

Kawasaki web site says that is not a valid VIN. They have a page you can look up by VIN and it will tell you what it is and when it was sold. Maybe the Kawasaki.com site is U.S. only?

Thats not a U.S. VIN so U.S. VIN coding rules do not apply. The KX125K model was made during the years of 1994 to 1998. Thats a European/Japanese VIN. If you can find the VIN coding rules for Euro/Jap you may be able to figure out the actual year.

94-98. I cant tell because of the graphics and black paint but, if it has the beefier swingarm it's 97-98.

Maybe a part number on the CDI? The CDI's usually change from year to year.

My 98 KX250 had a purple spring, but springs are easily and routinely replaced so I wouldn't use that as a guideline. Also, my 98 250 had a powerjet, so maybe there are some carburation differences between the years.

EDIT: A second look on my laptop(crisper image) and it seems the swingarm is a 94-96 variety. That's where my money is.

I have a 1996 KX250 and that bike looks real close to mine, other than the skimpy swingarm and shinny plastic and graphics..
