Low compression '98 400f

i think when i have the head off i will go ahead and replace the rings for piece of mind. its not much more work. i cant tell if its coming out of the breather because i have to take the cover off to position it to TDC. i dont have the stock timing cover since i have an aftermarket stator that doesnt have a timing mark.

Then you would hear air coming from down in the chain tunnel.

But you're right, rings are cheap and simple.

thats what i figured. plus that way i can also make sure the cylinder wall is good.

EDIT: needs new rings too and or cylinder is scarred.
