Suspension questions for 110lb rider - CRF230

Recommended Posts

Hi all, my girlfriend is getting more and more into her CRF230 so we want to freshen her suspension up a bit for this season:

1. what fork oil weight would you guys recommend? I would say she is a beginner/intermediate rider.

2. I rode it the other day and the rear kicks up a lot on small bumps. Will rebuilding the shock help? Will any reputable shop be able to rebuild it or do I have to send it into Hlebos?

Thanks!

the stock forks and oil will probably be good for her weight but I would adjust the sag to her weight on the shock.

cool, thanks. We've set the sag on her shock but it seems like there's not enough rebound damping on it...will any suspension shop be able to do the rebuild/revalve on the stock shock?

hlebo will be able to adjust it for you.

ultimatly the works rear shock will be the best but its also quite a bit more expensive.
