Awesome riding this weekend

Recommended Posts

Two of my riding buddies, and I went for a ride Saturday, and we explored the 250+ miles of fire break that was made to fight the huge Sour Biscuit fire this Summer. It wasnt tight single track trails by any means, but it was like riding a 30 foot wide natural terrain MX track. I had a blast. We did about 50 miles of it before we had to turn around and come home. Good stuff.

your right that is way northern california.

Used to go up to eureka every so often

to visit freinds till they moved down here,

now the farthest north I make it is to FT Bragg.

There is a great dirt double track that runs

all the way from Highway 1 - Highway 5

it starts in Westport, I think there is a 300 mile ride

some group from oakland does near there every year.

I did some riding like that in June. A forest fire torched the Emigrant gap area near Lake Tahoe. There was a BEAUTIFUL mtn bike resort there. Now 75% of the wooded single track is 30' fire road. But the dirt was soft and fast. Lots of fun, but not much scenery since the place looked like Hiroshima ๐Ÿ™‚
