250f too much?

Recommended Posts

I think you and your son are the best to answer that question. As a dad you need to validate if he can or not, you are the one watching him grow as a rider and ability.

personally my son has the 250f, he never rode a bike in his life. Its managble for him, he enjoys it and is learning. I believe that HP is the best teacher. If the bike is better suited to help a rider out of troubles i.e. handling, wieght and so on. with a bike like the drz or an xr you are limited on that groth in my opinion...

But I have sen the revearse, a kid is doing real good on a specific bike, updates it to a newer faster and the kids is a squid and is a potential accident waiting to happen...

Again you are the best judge of that for your son..

Good luck

My son is 13 and also wanting a 250F. I was wondering if the cam timing can be retarded. I know that when they first came out with the WR250F that some people were advancing the cam timing to the YZ spec. If this is possible it might help out if they have a little trouble with the power at first.
