CARBON FIBER SKID PLATE

Recommended Posts

why carbon fiber? CF doesn't give, not much flex. That means the first time you case something, snap cracle pop.there goes an expensive guard. aluminum is a much better material for a skid plate. the wieght difference will NEVER be felt, especially since it is low. Even if it weren't you can't tell the difference.

I'm with yardpro. Go with aluminum. It might wiegh twice as much, but cost almost half the price. Like he said, the weight is down low so you would'nt feel the difference. I, also, have heard more bad than good about carbon fiber.

It does look cool though.

I cased a jump with the E line the 1st day I installed it and it went CRACK! I had bad luck with E line, SRC (too soft and top monunting holes elongate), and pro armor ( the pro armor one cracks in the rear corners from vibration over time) I finally settled on a works connection and even though I would like more side protection, it has survived for months now, even has some case scratches, but hasn't ripped off or cracked like the rest.
