Four Stroke eng animation

http://www.keveney.com/otto.html

Didnt realize it was the "otto" engin.

Our Drz's have the cam's "overhead" eliminating the silly harley push rod.

Pretty good gifs. A few differences , one bein we use a CDI instead of points and we untilze the 'wasted sparl' method where the plug fires ever time the piston us at TDC (Nearly at for you AR types). For Shts and giggles, here is a view in the engine as it actually runs using a high speed micro camera:

Some cool animations on that page.

Here's another: DOHC:

ive seen it before but never that good. thanks for that, i wish they finishd the exhaust stroke though, i wanted to see how close the piston is to the exh valve when it starts to close

That is a good video.

Can get pretty close esp. if it a high dome piston, the valve sinks in to a pretty deep pocket on them.

this one is pretty cool

you can see the stem flex too if you look close

Thanks William. That was very interesting to see in action...
